How to Request Data
Genomic data requests are made in the Biobank Portal. Visit the Biobank wiki for detailed instructions on how to gain access and use the Biobank Portal. If you need any assistance, please contact us at biobank@partners.org.
In order to obtain genomic data, you will also need:
- An IRB protocol that includes a provision for access to identified samples and data from the Biobank
- A Data Use Agreement
Once you request genomic data via the Biobank Portal, it will be made available for you to retrieve for analysis on one of two computing platforms provided by Partners Research Computing: ERISOne cluster or Windows Analysis Server. Both platforms are available to all Partners investigators.
Using the Biobank Portal
The Partners Biobank Portal is a web-based tool that allows researchers to query and download data about consented Biobank subjects and make Biobank sample requests for plasma, serum, DNA and genomic data.
Once you have registered to use the RPDR, you may register to use the Biobank Portal by logging in with your Partners user name and password and electronically signing a Data Use Agreement (DUA) for Limited Data Sets.
